SPRING 2019 EXAMS FOR ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS

All NCEES Exams
All NEW Applicants (excluding SE and waiver requests): Proceed to NCEES for examination registration prior to submission of application for licensure to the Board.

New Structural Engineer Applicants must submit a completed application and be approved by the Board prior to registering for examination(s).

EIT & LSIT examination waiver requests must be approved by the Board prior to registering for examination(s).

All Re-Exam Applicants (including Structural Engineer): Proceed to NCEES for examination registration.

California Civil: Seismic Principles Exam* Administered on a continuous basis.
California Civil: Engineering Surveying* Administered on a continuous basis.

  • Postponement requests will be considered on a case by case basis in accordance with Board Rule 446.
  • If you are applying for licensing in California you must apply in accordance with California statutes and regulations, schedules and deadlines. The California Board does not honor NCEES or other states' deadlines for submitting applications.

The California Specific Examinations will be administered as computer based tests (CBT). All candidates will receive an e-mail notice from the Board prior to the examination date with instructions on when and how to schedule their examination once all applications have been reviewed and approved.

FINAL FILING DATES

  • Applications, including fees, must be postmarked by the final filing date in accordance with CCR 3021. See the fee schedule for additional information.
  • The CSE examination is administered as a computer based test (CBT) at a CBT vendor testing center. Examination candidates can view the testing locations at the examination vendor’s website.
  • All approved examination candidates will receive an e-mail notice from the Board approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the examination date with instructions regarding when and how to schedule their examination time and location with the examination vendor.
  • Postponement requests are not guaranteed and are considered on a case by case basis.
